Teeth Whitening in Winter Springs, FL

At-Home Teeth Whitening Treatment

Looking for a brighter, more confident smile? At Advanced Dental (Chris Young DMD PA), we offer safe, dentist-supervised

at-home teeth whitening treatments designed to noticeably whiten your teeth in as little as two weeks — all from the comfort of your home.

We do not offer in-office whitening procedures. Instead, we provide a customized take-home whitening system that allows you to whiten your teeth gradually, with less sensitivity and more flexibility in your schedule. This method is highly effective and gives you control over the process — whether you need a quick refresh or a more intensive treatment plan.

What to Expect from At-Home Whitening

Getting Started

Before starting any whitening treatment, Dr. Christopher Young

will perform a thorough exam to ensure your teeth and gums are healthy. In some cases, we may recommend addressing any dental issues — such as cavities or gum inflammation — before you begin whitening. A professional dental cleaning is often advised beforehand to remove plaque and buildup, ensuring the best possible results.

You’ll receive custom-fitted whitening trays and a dentist-approved whitening gel. Simply wear the trays for the time recommended — typically once a day for up to two weeks.

Post-Treatment Care & Sensitivity Tips

Some mild tooth sensitivity is normal after whitening, especially with colder temperatures. To minimize discomfort and protect your enamel:

Use Sensodyne® toothpaste daily following treatment — it’s specially formulated to relieve and prevent sensitivity. Avoid hot and cold foods and beverages for the first 24–48 hours after each session.Limit acidic and dark-colored items (coffee, red wine, berries, etc.) for the best whitening outcome.

Dealing with Deep Stains (Tetracycline & More)

For patients with deeper stains, such as those caused by

tetracycline exposure , results may take more time. We recommend completing a standard 2-week whitening course, taking a

one-month break, and then repeating the process for another two weeks if needed. This gradual approach can significantly lighten stubborn stains over time without causing undue sensitivity.
