At times like these, you need prompt emergency dental care and relief as quickly as possible.

Your Emergency Dentist in Winter Springs, FL

Dental emergencies can be stressful, not just because of your discomfort but also because this isn’t the time to settle for a dentist you don’t know or trust. If there was ever a time when you needed to see familiar, friendly faces, this is it!

Many of us have been there before, and we understand that you may feel helpless and alone. That is why we make it a point to put your needs first and make your Winter Springs dental emergency a priority.

Dental emergencies are a fact of life, so we always allow extra time in our daily schedule to accommodate patients who need fast pain relief.

Unfortunately, tooth emergencies often seem to occur on weekends or after hours, which can be frustrating. At Advanced Dental Care, we want you to have peace of mind knowing that we are here for you whenever you need us.

After hours, call our main number for instructions on how to reach us. Dr. Young will return your call right away. He will listen to your concerns and give you instructions for handling the emergency until we can see you in person.

Steps to Take in a Dental Emergency

tooth with a stethoscope If you have a dental emergency, the first thing to do is call Advanced Dental Care at (407) 696-6700. However, it’s a good idea for you to know what steps to take until we see you.

  • If a tooth is knocked out during sports or in an accident, you need to take immediate action to save it. Until you can see us, you must keep the tooth moist in a container of saliva or milk until you see us. When you handle the tooth, hold it by the crown and don't touch the root.
  • A toothache is always a sign of a problem, so prompt treatment is essential. To relieve your discomfort, take an over-the-counter pain reliever and use a cold compress for 20-minute intervals.
  • If you have a broken tooth, keep the area clean by rinsing your mouth with warm water. Using a cold compress should help reduce any swelling.
  • A lost crown or filling weakens your tooth, so contact us immediately, even if you are not in pain. We can often reseat a lost crown, but a filling will need to be replaced.

Note: If your emergency involves trauma to your face, neck, or head or you experience excessive bleeding or loss of consciousness, call 911 right away or go to the emergency room.
